How Did I Hang My "Curtains?"

Evening Friends, thank you for all of the compliments on the bedroom redo. I always love hearing what all of you think, and look forward to reading your comments.

One of you asked how I hung my curtains. Well first I should tell you that there not actually curtains. See yesterday at WalMart, I found this beautiful, hangs so great, soft pink, I almost bought the whole bolt, softer than a new born babies butt, material for... $1.50 a yard. Don't hate me.

So after the fabric girl and I talked it through, she convinced me that yes indeed I should buy it and that it will not only work, but it will be beautiful. "Not to much pink?" I asked her with my face all scrunched up ready for her to hurl. " Nope. Go For It!" And so I did.

I of course knew as I was at the cash register that I was going to hang these "curtains" with something special. Yeah, this beautiful fabric deserves to be hung by something worthy of all it's beautiful pinkness. YES, I've got it. TACKS!!!

All I needed to do was sneak into 13 year olds room and take a handful off her precious pictures, posters, and all of her what the heck is thats, without her finding out. SUCCESS!!! Yeah girls, this mom still has it goin on.

I hung the ones at the end of our bed right onto the "beam" with the special 13 year olds tacks. No tape measure, no stitching... Just my good eye, scissors, and those tacks. In about an hour I had "curtains".

Your looking at the other side of the room that I have yet to finish. See how much I love you guys.

Hugs from Maine

Thanks for sharing your secrets. I love the way they hang. And I especially love how you made "curtains" at the foot of the bed. I'm sooo inspired!

I absolutely love your blog. I have to sneak a peek from work. Here's hoping A. My boss doesn't catch me and B. My son who is the computer guy doesn't block blogs. We can no longer go to My Space or Craig's List all because of his busy fingers.

Love the decorating tips. I'm working on our bedroom at the moment. Just put up new Faux Wood Mini Blinds, got a great buy at Home Depot, my windows are 52" wide. Penney's wanted to special order....

Have a Blessed day.

Those are very pretty! Don't you just love Walmart's fabric department? We have bought a lot of fabric there in the last few months. We just found out last week that our store is going to be shrinking the fabric and crafts department by half and will be increasing the electronics department. Boo hoo. I guess the money is in electronics, though. But how sad! Oh, this is the first time I've been to your blog, and I will be adding it to my blogroll. Love it!! :)
