HEY, CHECK OUT THIS BLOGGER!

I've just met a new blogger you should all visit. Her name is Jo, and her blog is One Artsy Chic.

She stumbled upon my blog and stayed for awhile. She is a regular mom, (just like us), with a regular life.

She makes the most beautiful jewelry!!!

She has a cottage that she stays at throughout the summer. Doesn't it look cozy. I can't wait to see pictures of the inside. (Hint, Hint).

So friends, take a minute to visit and say Hi to Jo. She is looking for more blog friends, and I told her, I have just the ladies she's looking for.

RAINY SUNDAY INSPIRATION

I love this desk area, simple, organized...

This color blue is so speaking to me. In our kitchen maybe?

I love the feel of this room. Comfy, welcoming, cozy...

Can't you imagine long evenings sitting on this porch with family and friends. The way life use to be before computers, and such.

I've always wanted a swing INSIDE my house. This picture showed me it IS doable.

I LOVE SATURDAYS!

By the looks of things, you might think we are moving,

But.... we're not. Not yet anyway. I'm just cleaning out this,

Saturday is going to be spent getting things done around the house.

Because we were going to move this weekend, we had already bought a "new" (actually used but in great shape), washer and dryer. It came to the house today. (the house we're staying in)

I am so grateful that after 25 years of marriage, I can still motivate Sweet Blue Eyes to get things done for me.

I'm a blessed girl.

13 YEAR OLD HAS AN EYE, OR GETTIN REAL WITH JESUS!

This is one of many pictures 13 year old, (other wise known as Sweet Baby Girl), took when camping last weekend.

It's of her brother, (18 year old), avoiding the smoke from the fire. My interpretation, "Gettin Real With Jesus"

But then again, I'm his mom. Either way, its an awesome picture!

REAR WINDOW, ONE OF MY FAVORITES!

One of my very favorite movies would have to be, Rear Window with Grace Kelly

Not only is she terrific in it with Jimmy Stewart, but her outfits...

Classic beauty ...

I could, and have, watched this movie over and over on a rainy day

Rainy day + Good movie = One Happy Camper

Oh thats right. I don't like camping.

JUST A LITTLE INSPIRATION ON THIS RAINY DAY

It ended up raining today in Maine. Cold, wet, yucky.

I found these pictures and thought I'd share,

Each inspires me,

Gets my creative juices going.

ERNIE, AARON, AND BEN

This morning, a old friend from when we were 12, posted a video on FB. She didn't know that this particular video use to make 24 year old cry, when he was 3&4. Blue Eyed Husband and I would have to turn the TV off when it came on Sesame Street.

Seeing this video, and Ben now in his Army stuff... Well, it of course brought tears to this moms eyes. So interesting isn't it. I wonder if he remembers. (I just talked with him and he said he did remember) Take a moment and watch would you. (Oh yeah, get some tissue)

YOU'LL WANT TO CHECK THIS OUT!

A blogger friend over at 320 Sycamore has a great project to share.

It seems her creative, thinking outside the box sister did this,

Not only is this beautiful, it is personal, simple, and recycling items that are no longer in use.

I was happily surprised with the actual size it turned out to be. I LOVE THIS!!!
Take a moment to check out her blog for more details.

MY HEART IS BLESSED!

My mothers heart is once again blessed to see our son today.

"Oh Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Many are saying of me, "God will not deliver him." But you are a shield around me, O Lord; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. To the Lord I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill.

I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against me on every side." Psalms 3:1-6

IF YOU THINK THERE ARE TEARS IN MY EYES, YOUR RIGHT

Today when I opened my email, I saw 3 emails from Benjamin. He had taken these with his cell phone and sent them to his mom. This one had the caption of,
"AAhhh, I love passes!"

"After a long day"

This one... well, I have no words, just a tear. (mine)
We are so proud and miss him so very much. I forgot he has his Dads dimples.

Benjamin is doing well, and has recently passed his PT test. Something that he has been working hard at, and praying for. He writes of how grateful he is, for all of the prayers you have sent up for him. This moms heart is too.

STILL WITHOUT THE PEEPS AND LOVIN IT!!!

The peeps are still gone until later today. I've had the whole weekend alone with just the dogs and I've realized a few things when you have this much time to yourself. I'll share,

The dogs, (if you have any) will sleep with you in your bed even if you have always thought that was crossing the line. You realize it's cozy. (I'll wash the bedding later today)

You don't cook for yourself, (its just you, why bother), and go out to eat for every meal.

Your house, well it stays real clean. Just how you left it the night before when you went to bed.

You spend a lot of time with friends, enjoying their company. In other words, I've had a great time, and we need to do this more often.

Well, I've gotta get in the shower.

My GFFHS, (good friend from high school), is coming over and we are going to have coffee this morning,

and then I'm going to the parade with Noella and Larry. My sweet foster parents who adopted me

Have a wonderful Memorial Day. I look forward to my peeps coming home, (no really I do), and hearing from Benjamin.

GIRLFRIENDS ARE THE BEST!!!

The older I get, the more I come to the realization that my friends are a true gift from God. This includes my two sisters, because they have to be my sisters, but they choose to be my friends. I cherish them.

Each of my friends/sisters, has their own personalities, gifts, strengths. They all meet different needs in my life, as I do theirs, that is vital to my daily sanity, health, happiness, growth... Thank you friends, for listening to me. Helping me clear my head when I'm trying to work things out. Encouraging me in what I know is true, right, and real. Reminding me of who I am when I forget. And mostly, for loving me for who I am. Even on my bad days, and before my little blue pill. I love and cherish each of you so very, very, much.

Big Girlfriend Hugs from Me.

AND THEY DON'T THINK THEY NEED THEIR MOM

Got the call today from Moosehead. Yup, they need their mom. It's ok, nothing is wrong. They, the 18 and 16 year olds, (you know the ones that don't need their mom anymore), forgot something.

You guessed it. They needed me, mom, the woman who gave birth to them BOTH, (and one of them was 10pounds 4 ounces and 24 inches long. Thats 2 FEET!!!) And Home Births to boot! Which translates to NO DRUGS!!! I felt EVERY pain. The woman who wiped their backsides, picked up after them. Cleaned their puke. Taught them how to walk, talk, an to many other things to mention.

One of the cousins was heading up to camp tonight and could I please bring the paint balls (left in the garage, beside the christmas tree), to where she works so they can have them. Teenagers!

Yeah, they still need me. Well just a little. Oh yeah, did I mention, they had their Dad call for them. Sweet Blue Eyes.

P.S... Your Welcome Boys

YUP, I ATE THE WHOLE THING!

Usually at this time of night, if I'm craving a little bit of something chocolate, Blue Eyes would run to the store for me and pick up one of these.

He's sweet like that. I might have a few bites and put the rest away for one of the peeps to have later. But tonight... I ATE THE WHOLE THING!!!

And it was goooooood.

THEIR OFF!!!

Well, Blue Eyed Husband and the peeps are off. (13 year old took my camera, so no pictures after this post from me.)

My peep and his friends. 16 year old is the one with the loooonnnnnng hair. I really don't know why he keeps it long. He ends up looking so much like me. I'm sure thats NOT his reason.

18 year old decided to take his truck. No friends this time. Well, 16 year old is his best friend anyway.

Big tuff guys

Don't forget theses...
I am having lunch with an old friend of my moms. Stella is a sweet woman I grew up with. It is such a huge blessing to still have her in my life after all of these years of not having my mom here. I'm sure you can relate.
