Looking Ahead To Summer

You know, I really enjoy most of what winter in Maine has to offer. I don't usually tire of the cold, snow, or spending time inside. As I was going through some older pictures I had taken last summer, I was reminded of some of the things I do look forward to as the warm weather comes our way. Here, I'll share them with you,

We live in a house that has a huge L-shaped screened in front porch, and we sit out there all the time when weather permits. We read the paper, a good book, or the peeps come out to just talk to their mom. Always nice. Blue Eyed Husband and I can usually be found out there together.(On the left hand side of this picture you can kind of see a beautiful french country bench, that you know who made for me. This also has many a drool stain from Girl Friends who have said they are taking it home with them. It is out of this world, and I will post more pictures of it soon. Promise.

On our front lawn one beautiful, warm day, I took my wicker furniture from inside, and put it outside to share with the neighbors. It was very inviting.

Many a car slowed down to have a look. Ice tea anyone?

I'm not going to rush summer to get here. But I will enjoy it when it arrives. Hugs From Maine.

I know what you mean....I'm already thinking of what flowers I could plant and looking at seeds. Your porch and yard are beautiful, by the way.

Looks like the perfect place to sit a spell. Love the wicker on the lawn. And I've always wanted a porch. If I ever make it to Maine, I'll bring cookies!

Hi Lisa...no LL (husband) is not home yet. He is in Kansas. He has not had freight since last Friday. (no freight, no pay). The situation is not good, but many folks don't even have a job right now. I love your porch. It looks enclosed, is it? Mine is open, but I would like it screened in some day. (those nasty black flies here in northern Maine) The wicker is so romantic. I'll have a large iced tea, please. while I'll sit a spell. I haven't touched those magazines yet, but I have them, and that's the important thing. Have a wonderful Tuesday HUGS, Kathleen

What a beautiful place you have! We have a pretty back porch that we love to sit on as well. Can't wait for spring to come to start the planting and enjoying some iced tea on the it!!! Oh, and I'm running out to get some rubbing alcohol!

Okay, now I'm drooling for not only your bench, but your whole porch as well as summer!! What wonderful pictures to see today - they'll surely get me through the 6+ inches of snow we're due to get! Hope your daughter is feeling MUCH better... Donna @ An Enchanted Cottage
