JUST WHEN I THINK I DON'T LIKE TEENAGERS...

YEAH, alright she is a cutie isn't she. My Sweet Babygirl. When she was little, everyday she would go outside and in all her sweetness (that was dripping from every part of who she was), and gather up an array of flowers for me. I would just want to bite her she was so adorable. Actually, I think I did get a nibble in now and then. But now that she is a teenager, well... Lets just say momma don't get as many flowers as she use too. Momma gets attitudes, looks, and anything else you can imagine. I know, I know, your shocked that such a pretty little sweetie pie could do such things to her momma.

Well look what was waiting for me yesterday on the kitchen island. Yup, Sweet Babygirl gave me a glimpse of who she really is. The little girl I remember. The one who really does love her mom.

ISN'T GOD GOOD!!!

I can appreciate where you are coming from. What a sweet act of kindness your sweetheart did for you! My heart would have melted and I would have let out a relieved sigh. My Katie was always my sunshine, and now she too can give the looks and even mastered the one eye brow going up with a little tilt of her shoulder! Oy! This too will pass. :o)
Have a wonderful day!
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne

I have one of "those" too and I teach a whole tribe of them and there are days when I say just the same thing. My daughter hates me one minute and then comes, "love you mommie". She is almost 16 and it isn't always so cool to have mom around all the time, but we are getting through it and there are way more good times than bad. Enjoy your little girl!!! They grow up too fast!

Isn't it great when you get the glimpses?! Love the recognition of how special you are in her life. :)

Do you think you could introduce her to my lovely teenage daughter? Who also use to pick my flowers and rocks and sticks! But now the only time she'll talk to me is to ask if she can drive when we're going somewhere! What happens when they get to be teenagers? I'm hoping and praying it's a different story when my son gets there in another year. Oh Lord, please, I don't think I can handle him not liking me!!! Love the picture, she is so beautiful!!!

I sure do know what you mean! Two teenage daughters in the house but sometimes the sweetness in my little girls shines through.
