Out of all the things I might have done wrong as a mom, this is one thing I did right

I surrounded my kids with books. Read to them daily. And enjoyed every minute of it.

That's one thing my mom always encouraged with my sister and I. She would spend $100 on books if we wanted them. I thank her for that all the time now! It's so cool being able to read a great book and then have pass it on to my mom & vice versa!
I'm wishing you and your family an extremely merry Christmas full of soooooooo many blessings!! :D
I love to read and loved reading to my children. I made a big deal for each of the three of them, when they turned 3 and we went to get their first library card. My two oldest grandson received their favorite books from Grammie and Grampa. They love to read also. I agree with your sentiment, that I do did one thing really right, instilling the love of reading in my children. A very Merry wonderful Christmas Day to you and your family.

This is definitely something that my children and I enjoyed doing. Even now, they are avid readers. I have to admit, I miss the days of snuggling on the couch or in beds to read out loud. Since they are older, they prefer to read to themselves. :o) I will always treasure the times we read together. :o)
