IS THERE ANYTHING BILLY MAYS DOESN'T SELL ON TV!

I think I've just seen it all. I don't know. I was on Facebook and heard that annoying, yelling man voice of Billy Mays coming from my T.V.

Now I don't have anything against Mr. Mays. He has to make a living like everyone else in America. Selling products on T.V., wearing that same blue button up shirt for the last 10 years... He seems to be a nice enough guy. Always wanting to sell us something that will make our jobs around the house, just a bit easier. Who doesn't love that? Remember when Oxi Clean first came out?

We've even seen Mr. Mays yo-yo like the rest of us normal people with his weight. Heavy Billy selling us another new product. Lighter Billy selling us something else.
.
Not a problem. But seriously Billy, do you need to yell?

And now Mr. Mays is selling... (wait for it, wait for it...)

Health Insurance. Really. Health Insurance. And has Billy lost weight. He looks great! But geeesh, he's still yelling!

Billy, if you read my blog, please pal, shhhhhhhhhh!

THE BOOK OF RUTH... AND STELLA

Yesterday morning, my mothers close friend Stella called. I have known Stella since I was maybe, 2 years old. I grew up with her. She is the sweetest, gentlest, soul. She would never want to put anyone, (especially someone she loves) out. Ever. And she loves me. (lucky me!)

So when she asked me yesterday if I could bring her to see her lifelong friend Ruth, I knew it was very important to her, & you better believe I said YES!!! Stella said Ruth has quite a life story.

Monday, is Ruths birthday. Now, I don't remember how old Ruth will be on Monday (90ish)... yeah I said ninety'ish

But I can promise you, she doesn't act her age in the least bit.

I hadn't had the pleasure of meeting Ruth until yesterday... (she's eating icecream from the container. Love Her!)

But really, I don't know who was more blessed by the visit. Stella, Ruth, or Me. I'm thinkin, Me.

I will (beg to) bring Stella back to see her dear friend Ruth soon I hope. I too have grown very fond of her.

"Thank you Lord for your gifts of love, that come in many wonderful packages. Especially Stella and Ruth"

ITS SATURDAY, AND THIS IS WHAT I'M DOING

What a beautifully, sunny, warm, buggy Saturday we're having here in Maine. After all the rain, I'm not complaining. Our church has two softball games tonight. We're having hamburgers and such, to fill our bellies while we have a fun evening. Always good!

I'm listening to this,

while I make some of these, (brownies with chocolate chips melted on top)

some of these, (rice crispy squares)

this, to go along with the burgers,

and you can't have burgers without this, (macaroni salad)

Thought I'd hang these out today too. (Oh yeah, did I tell you I have the house to myself?! Shhh. A little slice of heaven!)

Enjoy your Saturday.

TODAY WAS HER BIRTHDAY!!!

Today was my good friend Shannons birthday.

She is --. Yup, --. This is her and her hubby at a church event we had this winter. Shannon is one of my closest friends. She is a wonderful listener, and will remind me of the good in me, when I start to beat myself up too much. She is like the little sister I've never had. I love her. She is an artist with such a gift. She can paint like nobodies business. She loves her Husband, kids, family, friends... And she also loves God. I see Him in her all the time. Hugs to you friend on your 33rd birthday. (oppps) Your friendship is precious to me.

On another note, Blue Eyed Husband and I signed this today,

So we are going to be moving into this wonderful place real soon like.

Now girls, I know I've shown you pictures of the downstairs, but seriously, it is sooooo beautiful. I wish I could have you all over for coffee/tea after I move in. You'll love it!!! More pictures to follow.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I'm thinking one of theses would look good, and be very useful, in the kitchen of the house we're moving into.

I found them at Sams Club, but would love to find a used one cheaper. I'll keep my eyes open.

This is still my favorite kitchen,

HONEST SCRAP AWARD!

It's raining here today in the beautiful state of Maine. Whats new. Well actually, we've had some very nice days. But today... My blog friend, Mel, (whom I love) over at Heart Prints, gave me an award today. It's kind of a participation thing that I'll try to do.

I'm asked to list 10 honest things about myself. Here goes...

  1. God often tells me , "Lisa, close your mouth and listen. Your talking to much." Imagine that huh.
  2. In the summer, I can't stand the feeling of dirty feet, even though I love to walk barefooted.
  3. I take way to many antacid pills, and should stop drinking coffee. Yeah right.
  4. I watch The View when I can.
  5. My favorite time of the day is early, early, early, morning when Maine is still sleeping.
  6. I really don't have a favorite color.
  7. I clean our toilets everyday with rubbing alcohol and paper towels. Yeah I know, I know. My OCD is showing.
  8. Blue Eyed Husband thinks I spoil Sophie way too much.
  9. I don't agree with Blue Eyed Husband about Sophie
  10. I don't like receiving awards. I really don't feel deserving and they make me uncomfortable.
Well, there you go. Probably stuff you already knew.

YOUR GONNA LIKE THESE...

I found myself at Pier One the other day when I was pouting about something.

Yup, I was pouting. A good friend told me. But before I got over it, I did find some great things.

I just love this,

And this is on clearance. It sits low to the ground, and kinda hugs ya. Love it!

This is just a random picture from the net. Not mine, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the plaid furniture!!!

WARNING: THE IMAGES YOU ARE ABOUT TO SEE...

MAY DISTURB YOU. USE CAUTION AND REMEMBER, REAL BLOG, BY A REAL PERSON, WHO LOVES A REAL GOD. THIS IS WHERE THE REAL PERSON COMES IN...

Did you just say to yourself, "What the heck is that?!!!!" Well its a REAL arm. My arm. Hhmmm... Why? Well today I wore a tank top. Not a good idea. So I got to thinking. You know, about my REAL arms.

This was the year my REAL arms started to droop. Look old. Chubby. REAL chubby. I know if I tried, I could...

Have guns like this. REALLY. Blue Eyed Husband confirmed it when asked. Oh I know what you thinking. He's just a nice guy and wouldn't hurt my feelings. Well you'd be right. But He is right too. I could have arms like this...

Well,I'll give it some thought. In the mean time, I'm going to the store to get one of these.

What?

JUST WHEN I GET MY MANTLE RIGHT...

The fireplace mantle Blue Eyed Husband made this winter has been bothering me lately. Not what he did. I just couldn't find a way to put things on there that looked right. But over the weekend, I found this chalk board, and YES! I knew what to do. I got it right! And just when I got it right...

we found out today, WE WERE APPROVED TO MOVE INTO HERE!!! YIPPEE!!!

I had put these artificial flowers I got at a local discount store up,

And you know when everything comes together,

It all looks so nice. But I'm happy to take it all down and find a place for it in our "new home"

I am so grateful that God had this house as part of His plan for us to move to next. You see, this house that we are in currently, has had a very recent reduction in price. It is so beautiful, we're certain it will sell.

And even though we thought we might be in this house a little longer, we are grateful to be moving to yet another wonderful place. This current house is a rental and so we won't be moving for a few years. Yes, settled once again. "SIGH"

And God knew how important that was for me. I thank Him!

18 YEAR OLD GRADUATES!!!

Thank you ahead of time, while I carry on about 18 year old today. Can you tell this "boy" is loved!?

As most of you know, he graduated last night!

This is his good friend Cody,

It was so great that they got to march together!

They've been friends since 7th grade.

We got some wonderful pictures after everything was done.

Nothing better then getting a sweet kiss from your sweetheart! (And she really is a sweetheart!)

The only one missing, Ben

Our peeps are growing up so fast... my heart can't keep up.

This is Andrea, 18 year olds cousin, and Sue, her mom. Blue Eyed Husbands, sister.

I just love this picture of them.

We had dinner at Apple Bees. K and 13 year old.

My sewing sister and her husband, Gary

And then Benjamin called his brother... Yeah I cried. The night was complete.
